What are the defects?
Some vehicles equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) may not allow the driver to cancel ACC in very specific driving conditions.
What are the hazards?
In certain circumstances there may be unexpected acceleration when using the ACC, which if not stopped by applying the brakes can cause increased risk of accident and injury to occupants of the vehicle and other road users.
What should consumers do?
FCA Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and request them to contact an authorised Alfa Romeo dealer to arrange a free software update.
