What are the defects?
The outer cable sheath may have slipped through the end fitting causing the parking brake to become difficult to operate.
What are the hazards?
The parking brake may become difficult to operate or fail which may result in the vehicle being unable to be secured correctly. This increases the risk of accident and injury to occupants of the vehicle and other road users/vehicles.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail and are advised to contact their local authorised RAM Truck dealer, who will inspect and rectify the vehicle.
