What are the defects?

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) do not function correctly when the turn signal indicator is used.

What are the hazards?

The opposite DRL, rather than the adjacent one, turns off when the turn signal is activated. This results in a non-compliance with Vehicle Homologation requirements (ECE R48). DRLs that do not function as intended make the vehicle less conspicuous in traffic and may increase the potential for a motor vehicle accident.

What should consumers do?

A letter is being sent to affected owners.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the DRL function and repair the wiring if required.
