What are the defects?

Some of these motorcycles may exhibit a condition in which the hydraulic clutch system may lose the ability to generate enough lift to disengage.

What are the hazards?

If the clutch does not disengage as intended, the rider may have difficulty slowing or stopping the motorcycle, which could cause a crash and potential injury or death of the rider and/or passenger.

What should consumers do?

A letter is being sent to affected owners. If the motorcycle is affected it will require the clutch master cylinder to be rebuilt using a recall repair kit. The dealer, at no charge to the customer, will perform all work.
