What are the defects?
Some MY2018 111 ci motorcycles have been manufactured with a right-hand switch cube that does not meet quality standards. Affected switch cubes may develop corrosion within the Stop/Run/Start circuit. If the motorcycle key fob is stored on or near the motorcycle and all other safety interlocks are met, an affected switch cube could lead to unintentional vehicle power-up or start sequence.
What are the hazards?
If the motorcycle is left running unattended in an enclosed environment, potentially hazardous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) may accumulate. Consumers may be at risk of serious injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.
What should consumers do?
Indian Motorcycle will write and notify all affected consumers of required action. Consumers should contact their Indian Motorcycle dealer to arrange for recall work to be performed.
