What are the defects?
Hydrogen may have become embedded in the material of the pistons of a certain batch of brake calipers. This hydrogen could leak from the pistons and enter the hydraulic components of the rear axle brake and cause compressibility there. As a result, the braking power of the rear axle may be impaired and the brake pedal travel may be extended.
What are the hazards?
The rear axle brake may not function as intended, increasing the risk of an accident occurring.
What should consumers do?
