What are the defects?
Some Mercedes-Benz vehicles have a feature that lifts the bonnet of the car if a collision with a pedestrian is detected. This is designed to reduce the extent of injuries to pedestrians in certain sorts of collisions. In some vehicles with the defect, the pedestrian may not be detected and the mechanism may not work as intended.
