What are the defects?
Some RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 vehicles may have a defective tailgate latch.
What are the hazards?
The tailgate latch may disconnect whilst the vehicle is in motion. This may result in loss of unrestrained cargo from the truck. Lost cargo can potentially create a road hazard to other vehicles.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail and are advised to contact their local authorised RAM Truck dealer who will inspect and rectify the vehicle free of charge.
