What are the defects?
The waterproof coupler between the brake switch harness and main harness isn’t sufficient and allows water ingress into the main harness. This may cause corrosion inside the brake switch and continued use may cause the brake switch to short circuit.
What are the hazards?
This could potentially make the headlamp, brake lamp and tail lamp inoperative, which may pose as a hazard to other road users and possibly cause an accident.
What should consumers do?
Consumers are requested to contact their nearest Suzuki Dealership to have their vehicle inspected and replace with countermeasure parts as required.
