What are the defects?
The engine valve spring may fracture if the performance load exceeds the valve spring’s fatigue strength.
What are the hazards?
If the engine valve spring fractures this will result in a sudden power loss while driving. Also, the engine may not restart.
What should consumers do?
Owners will be notified of the recall by mail and requested to make an appointment at their preferred Toyota Dealer for an inspection and repair, free of charge.
