What are the defects?
On vehicles with a 2.0l petrol engine, of a limited production period, the drive cam for the vacuum pump can break. As a result there is no vacuum assistance when applying the vehicle brakes.
What are the hazards?
The loss of braking effectiveness may pose an accident hazard for the driver and other road users.
