What are the defects?
On MY18 Volkswagen Polo models of a limited production period, the belt buckle on the rear left seat can inadvertently become undone.
What are the hazards?
If the fault occurs, the left rear belt buckle can inadvertently release and, as a result, the passenger is not secured by the restraint system in the event of an accident or when braking hard posing a high risk of injury.

Volkswagen Group Australia Pty Ltd is contacting all known owners of affected vehicles. Consumers should contact their nearest Volkswagen Dealer to arrange for inspection and repair.
