What are the defects?
The bonding of the sunroof glass panel might deteriorate gradually over time and the glass panel may separate from the vehicle.
What are the hazards?
If the sunroof panel detaches this would increase the risk of an accident and injury and/or death of road users.
What should consumers do?
The check of the tilting/sliding sunroof that has already been performed for certain vehicles under the previous recall (Campaign number: RC2752) must be repeated due to new findings.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
