What are the defects?

Certain vans with camper body/conversion may experience an electrical fault with the rear axle rotational speed sensor. This fault may result in some of the functions of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) deactivating. If the ESP control unit functions are deactivated, the driving stability of your vehicle may be impacted.

What are the hazards?

The deactivation of these ESP functions, may increase the risk of an accident resulting in an injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to arrange with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.
