What are the defects?
There is a possibility that the force which is applied to the tailgate gas strut stopper may, through continued opening of the tailgate, cause fatigue damage to the tailgate gas strut stopper attaching point. In the worst case the stopper may become detached.
What are the hazards?
Component Failure.
