What are the defects?
Frequent operation of the intermittent wiper circuit may cause the relay contact points to separate from the contact arm causing an electrical short circuit, resulting in the wipers being inoperative. In the worst case there is the possibility of a fire in the front windscreen combination switch assembly.
What are the hazards?
Mechanical malfunction
