What are the defects?
In certain 2018 model year Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Discovery vehicles, the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) feature may not be available when required. A warning message will not be displayed on the instrument cluster to inform the driver that AEB is unavailable.
What are the hazards?
AEB would normally activate to avoid or reduce the severity of a collision. If the system does not activate as designed, there could be an increased risk of an accident and injury.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should contact their nearest Jaguar Land Rover retailer or authorised repairer to arrange repair of the vehicle free of charge.
