What are the defects?
The 12 volt auxiliary battery may stop charging due to improper soldering on the circuit board in the vehicles DC/DC converter.
What are the hazards?
If the auxiliary battery stops charging, the warning lamps will illuminate to alert the driver of a hazard.
Prolonged use of the vehicle may result in the hybrid system shutting down, increasing the risk of an accident due to a loss of drive.

What should consumers do?
Toyota will contact registered owners by mail at their last known address, requesting the owner make an appointment at their preferred Toyota Dealer for inspection and replacement of the DC/DC converter, free of charge.
