What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing issue, the fuel sensor housing may crack and cause a fuel leak. If a fuel leak occurs, this may result in a loss of motive power while driving. Additionally, if the fuel comes into contact with an ignition source this may result in a vehicle fire.

What are the hazards?

A loss of motive power, or a vehicle fire, while driving could increase the risk of an accident and injury to a vehicle occupant or other road users. In the event of a serious accident this may result in death.

What should consumers do?
