What are the defects?
The belt tensioner that drives the engine accessories has been manufactured incorrectly. This may cause the belt to come off and warning lamps to illuminate.
What are the hazards?
If the vehicle continues to be driven, the engine temperature gauge reading will become high and in some cases the engine will be damaged and may stop and not restart, posing a potential accident hazard to the driver and other road users.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should contact their nearest Suzuki dealer to have the vehicle inspected and counter measure parts fitted.
