What are the defects?

The rear centre seat position of the MG6 is not fitted with a Child Restraint Anchorage as required by Australian Design Rule 34/02.

What are the hazards?

Without an appropriate Child Restraint Anchorage, the top tether of a child restraint cannot be attached, which may increase the risk of injury to an occupant in a severe accident.

What should consumers do?

Owners will be contacted directly asking to present their vehicle to a MG Dealer. Before having your vehicle rectified, please place child safety seat on the right or left rear seat instead of the centre one if needed.
