What are the defects?
BMW Motored has found that there have been a few, isolated cases of engine damage occurring at high engine rpm. This was caused by conrod bolts working loose.
What are the hazards?
Escaping oil or sudden engine seizure may result in a serious accident and/or pose a hazard to other road users.
