All 2002 (UT) and certain 2003 (UX) Explorer vehicles built from 17 July 2001 through 15 September 2003 inclusive.
What are the defects?
Some 2002 affected vehicles are fitted with a ball stud bracket located on the rear liftgate window which could rotate out of position on the glass. Additionally, all affected vehicles (2002/2003) are fitted with a hinge that attaches the liftgate window.
What are the hazards?
Component fault.
