What are the defects?
Due to incorrect wiring, vehicles fitted with the tow bar wiring harness may experience the hazard warning lights to become inoperative when the key is removed from the ignition.
What are the hazards?
If the hazard warning lights on the trailer being towed become inoperative, other road users may not see the stopped/slowing vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.
What should consumers do?
Kia Motors Australia will notify affected owners in writing to contact their nearest dealer and arrange an inspection and relocate the tow bar wiring harness fuse, where necessary.
