What are the defects?

The vehicle jack provided with certain vehicles may be faulty and also may not meet the requirements of the Australian Consumer Product Safety Standard. If a faulty vehicle jack is used, it could become unstable and the raised vehicle may fall.

What are the hazards?

If the raised vehicle falls whilst using the jack, this would increase the risk of serious injury or death to anyone under or near the vehicle.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their most convenient Mercedes-Benz Retailer for inspection and replacement of the vehicle jack if required, as soon as possible.
