What are the defects?

A programming defect in the multi-function meter may cause the display to restart unexpectedly whilst in use. If this occurs, the speedometer or neutral indicator may not display as intended resulting in the rider unable to determine the speed of the vehicle.

What are the hazards?

If the rider is unable to determine the operating speed, it may increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the rider(s) and/or other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their authorised Kawasaki motorcycle dealer to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.
