Due to a manufacturing defect, the vehicle's rear driveshaft may fracture resulting in a sudden reduction of motive power.
What are the hazards?
A sudden reduction of motive power while driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
Note: Please drive with caution and pay attention to any abnormal noise. Stop driving the vehicle if noise can be heard from the rear of the vehicle and have vehicle delivered to a Genesis dealer for inspection and rectification.
