What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, there is a possibility of engine machining debris contamination within the engine. This could lead to potential engine knocking, rough running and/or stalling during operation causing a loss of motive power.
What are the hazards?
A loss of motive power or engine stalling whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
When parts are available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Lexus and are asked to make an appointment at their preferred Lexus dealer for rectification, free of charge.
