What are the defects?
Due to a software issue with the airbag control unit, the pedestrian detection sensor may not function as intended.
What are the hazards?
In the event of an accident, if the pedestrian detection pop-up bonnet feature does not operate as intended it could increase the risk of injury or death to pedestrians.
