What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing defect, the road wheel centre lock nuts may be defective. A defect could cause the lock nut to fracture and result in loosening of the wheel.

What are the hazards?

Loosening of the wheel can result in a loss of the wheel and a loss of control over the vehicle. This can increase the risk of accidents, damage, injury or death to vehicle occupants and road users.

What should consumers do?

For safety reasons, Porsche urgently requests owners to stop using the vehicle until the remedial measure has been implemented.

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their preferred Official Porsche Centre to arrange the repair of their vehicle, free of charge, as soon as the remedial measure becomes available.

Owners can find their nearest Porsche dealer at https://www.porsche.com/australia/dealersearch/
