What are the defects?
Due to a software issue in the engine control unit, the fuel injectors may deactivate when exiting coasting mode. If this occurs, the vehicle may experience a sudden loss of motive power.
What are the hazards?
A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
