What are the hazards?

A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership as soon as possible to have the engine control unit software updated, free of charge.
