What are the defects?
Inappropriate length rivets may have been supplied with the accessory soft tonneau cover kit. Some kits contained 14mm long rivets instead of the required17mm length.
What are the hazards?
With an incorrect 14mm rivet the tonneau cover is not attached securely and may dislodge unexpectedly. In the worst case scenario, the dislodgement may create a hazard to other road user or pedestrians.
What should consumers do?
