What are the defects?
The prime mover air brake system may not comply with the Australian Design Rule (ADR). In the event of a total trailer air brake system air loss, the prime mover and trailer brakes will automatically apply, increasing the risk of losing control of the vehicle.
What are the hazards?
If this occurs it may result in a loss of vehicle control, which would increase the risk of a crash and injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
This would also be non-compliant with ADR35/06.
