What are the defects?

Due to a production error, the seat frame’s mounting bolts for both front seat belts may not have been tightened according to specifications and could become loose. As a result, the seat belts may not operate as intended.

What are the hazards?

In the event of an accident, a seat belt not operating as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred Official Porsche Centre to have the necessary works carried out and completed, free of charge.

Note: Incorrect seat belt mount tension could be indicated by squeaking noises or looseness around the belt mounting point on the seat frame. If either of these symptoms occur, it is recommended that owners do not continue to use the affected seat. If it affects the driver's seat, owners must please immediately park their vehicle safely and contact their nearest Official Porsche Centre by phone.
