What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing issue, the CGW (Central Gate Way) control unit attached to the rear of the blower for the air conditioning in the passenger compartment may corrode due to moisture leaking from the joints of the blower case. This may lead to the engine to stall whilst driving resulting in a loss of motive power.

What are the hazards?

A loss of power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles are asked to contact an authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership as soon as possible to have the work carried out free of charge.
