What are the defects?
Due to a manufacturing defect, the wheel lug nuts may not have been tightened sufficiently and could become loose. As a result, the wheel may detach from the brush chipper whilst being towed.
What are the hazards?
If the wheel detaches from the brush chipper whilst being towed, this will result in a loss of stability and control, increasing the risk of an accident and serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected brush chipper can contact their preferred authorised Vermeer dealer immediately to have the work carried out, free of charge.
